About Us
Our Story
When numpfer founder Sarah Robbin’s own baby girl was born she had a longer stay in the hospital than most new moms. While in the BC Women's NICU the nurses used absorbent washcloths as bibs, though clever, they didn’t provide full coverage, resulting in a very wet outfit. Once home Sarah couldn’t find the functional, absorbent, soft-yet stylish bib she was searching for – and so, numpfer was born. Beginning as a kitchen table start up, it has now grown into an in-demand brand.
numpfer has expanded to provide blankets, bonnets, and more– like our ‘multi use bibs’ all products are made from luxurious organic fabrics - perfect for baby’s delicate skin.
Named for founder Sarah’s nickname as a baby, numpfer is proudly hand-made in British Columbia.
"When my mom was pregnant with me my granny started referring to me as 'numpfer' until the big reveal when they would find out if I was a boy or a girl. Once I was born the nickname stuck and it was the obvious fit for our gender neutral, organic, multi-use baby product line" - Sarah Robbins aka numpfer

Giving Back
numpfer is dedicated to giving back.
The numpfer team hosted its first charity event in 2015 named “Sip and Savour” with the goal of raising funds to purchase life saving equipment for the BC Women’s Newborn ICU. With over $150K raised in the three years of the event, it has proved tremendously successful.
